Who is Above The Standards?

Above The Standards™ is a clothing company whose foundations were based upon denouncing the basic statistics in society. Unfortunately,there are too many people entrapped within the standards of being robotic-like followers as opposed to being individualistic leaders, at most instances without being conscious of their actions. A.T.S. (Abovethe Standards™) serves as a call of action to all individuals, to set themselves apart from society’s mundane standards, by rising above and becoming leaders in their own. In the fall of 2008, David Kerns’s vision of a unorthodoxed urbanstreet wear brand, Above The Standards™,  was given birth in the city of Atlanta, Georgia . All the legalities of A.T.S. such as its copyrights, incorporations, and trademarks were completed in 2010. Since its official establishment in the summer of 2010, A.T.S. has already stabilized a commendable and professional reputation through working with Good Wood NYC™ , sealing various collaborations, and branching off into different aspects of a entreprenueristic enterprise. These branches include a promotion team and a musical subsection (opening networks and marketing for the artists sponsored by the company). In the near future, A.T.S will be adding a non-profit aspect to the overall vision of the company , intended for troubled youth to pursue their creative abilities and express themselves through fashion, art, music, entertainment, etc. In September of 2010, A.T.S. launched their official blog, which details the major news of urban fashion worldwide. In October 2010, A.T.S. released their highly anticipated website, which their official products will be available for purchase by the public.  Above the Standards™ is best described as a very animated, yet gritty clothing brand.

David Kerns

 

David Kerns was born in San Antonio, TX and was raised in various
places as Silver Spring, Maryland; Fayetteville, NC; and Atlanta, GA
where he currently resides. He Attends Morehouse College with goals of
graduating a business/marketing major. He has always had dreams of
doing something with art. Having grown up with it all around him. He
started Above the Standards as a way to express everything that he
believed in an artistic way. He is influenced most by Kid robot,
Bathing Ape, Original Fake’s unique and animated designs.

Chase McKesson

 

Chase McKesson was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He lived there
until moving to Atlanta, GA to attend Morehouse College. He’s been
drawing cartoons since the 1st grade and was his high school newspaper
cartoonist and continues to be his college newspapers cartoonist. Upon
entering high school he developed a huge interest in the T- shirt
industry and sees working for ATS as a chance to make it big doing
something he loves, drawing.
